The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) process is how non-Catholics join the Catholic Church. RCIA can also help current Catholics review and renew their understanding of the Catholic Church. The RCIA process provides an opportunity for all participants to evaluate their relationship with God while determining the part the Catholic Church plays in their relationship with God.

The RCIA process is celebrated with seven Rites during the celebration of Sunday Eucharist attesting to the openness and the readiness of those in the process. Weekly sessions provide the setting for the breaking open and sharing on the Word of God found in the Sunday Gospels so that one may come to "own" the Gospels, times for formal and informal prayer, and classes on the Church, its Traditions, and the tenets of our Faith.
